The Power of Break-Withs

July 29, 2013 0 Comments

Break-withsWith a little bit of neglect life can become a trap of the mundane and a failure to live out our full potential. In the book  Life can be hard and that burden can weigh us down to the place where our only vision and hope is just making it through one more day.  Trying to keep our lives the same everyday becomes the easy way out. Life seems to move from one crisis to the next.

The only way to overcome this is to break-with what we have embraced as normal.

To break-with:

  •  Let go of your past – Celebrate and learn from your past but don’t fall into the trap to let yesterday define today. (Tweet This)
  •  Be a perpetual learner – Learn a new skill and / or learn to overcome a weakness that has become a hindrance

Constantly develop your expertise. In the past year, everything has changed: your clients, the market, technology, society. Your expertise must keep pace with the changing landscape.” – Joe Calloway

  •  Embrace risk and take a step of faith. – To break-with you have to push beyond where you are now. Risk may lead to failure but great leaders know how to move beyond their failure. You will find yourself moving forward more than backwards. Nothing great has ever been accomplished without risk. (Tweet This)

There is so much more to life so create your greatest break-with to live it out. (Tweet This)

Your voice is important; I would love to hear from you.

So what will you “break-with” to breakthrough?
