Please Stand By

May 12, 2014 7 Comments

Yes my blog has been real quiet around here. The quiet has been intentional.

Please Stand By

Late last year I completed a 40 day fast. During that fast I felt that Jesus was asking me to lay the blog down for a while. I noticed that I had been putting too much importance into the whole blogging thing.  No I don’t have a massive following. (Not even sure if it would qualify as a micro following). My mind and heart just weren’t in the right place. I admit I wanted to be famous and I was also shocked at how strong the desire was to try and convince God otherwise. At the end of the day my life is not about me but about Him.

So I stopped. No notice; no final post. I just stopped.

Thank you to all my followers and to the faithful who left comments. You will still find me reading and commenting on blogs.

I hoped this would only be temporary and recently I have been sensing that I could once again enter the blogging world. This is still a matter of prayer; however, I am taking some time to clarify and refine the focus of the blog. It will not be a far departure but a more laser focus. And I also hope to do a little redesign work. If all goes well, I hope to be back up by in July.

So Please Stand By!

While standing by, feel free to connect with me.

About the Author:

I am enthusiastic about helping others discover their purpose and grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus. It is great to see their eyes light up at their “Ah Ha!” moment when they discover they were created for something more. My hope is that this blog will help encourage and inspire you along your way. Join the conversation and take the time to share with me your own story. I have been married to my beautiful wife Janice for over 30 years. We currently live in McDonough Georgia with our daughter. Our two boys have left the nest and we have two wonderful grand kids. Of course we cannot forget about our dog Bear.
